Man, today was long. I was busy from 8 am to 9:30 pm. Whew. But it wasn't a bad day. It the last day of class for one of my classes for the next month (a lot of students have to do a practicum in the schools, so they just cancel class for that month. Sweeet). I started a block class called Elementary Skills and Activities. Basically...I get to act like a 2nd grader in P.E. It's pretty cool :) Today we did hula hoops and jump roping. I realized I'd forgotten how to hula hoop but I remember now! It's all comin back! This class really makes me miss recess. Why don't they keep the whole recess thing going right on through high school and college, that's what I want to know. I especially miss the criss cross bars. I was amazing at those. There was only one girl in the whole playground who could beat me, haha :) I remember sitting on the edge of my seat before the bell rang for recess, and then racing out to the criss cross bars every single day. I miss those times :)
I also went to my friend's intramural soccer game. They didn't win, but it was still fun to watch. I realized something about myself. I like watching sports for the most part, I just usually don't understand a lot of what's going on haha! I think I mostly like the excitement and stuff. Although I have to say that I fear I will never understand football. In high school my friends used to tease me at football games, saying they wouldn't be surprised to hear me yell "Yeah!!!! Homerun!!!" I at least know that it's a touchdown, not a homerun, but I don't know a whole lot more. Maybe I'm not actually an American. Who knows. I do love watching soccer though. I'd say it's my favorite :) I can follow that one fairly well.
Something else I've realized about myself. I have this funny quirk that if I park my car and a song I love comes on or is on the radio I will just sit in the car until it is finished. Even if I'm late for class. And even if I've heard it a million times. There is just something magical when a favorite song comes on the radio! It's like "How'd they know I love this song?!" and you just feel happy :) So if you ever see me rocking out in a parked car...it's normal.
