Feng Shui

So I will be the first to admit, this has never been my strong point. I'm really good at keeping a place clean, especially if it is my space (just ask my sisters-my room always had to be immaculate, but I wasn't so Nazi about the living room, haha). Now I (we) have an apartment. And it is really cute, I have to say. But I want to make it cuter. I've been loving the website hgtv.com lately. I see ideas like this and this and this and this. I've decided my favorite colors for rooms are olive green, gold, white, burnt orange, mahogany, light blue, plum, black and gray. Not all together of course :). Something I read about that I thought was a cute idea was framing cards or notes and hanging them up. Also, I really love mirrors. They add a lot. What are your ideas? I ask not because I know about interior design but because I want help and I want to learn :)
