Feeling Good

I can't believe that I will be halfway through this trip soon! Where has it gone? Of course I'll be excited to come home...but I'm going to be so sad too. I already know I'll cry when I have to say bye to my host family. I'll miss the kids I teach-even the bad ones! But I've still got time here, so I'm happy right now :)

I LOVED seeing conference this past weekend! It was wonderful. I have favorite talks but I loved it all. I thought that one story about the son being called to the St. Petersburg Russia mission after his father and so many others had been praying so many years before that it would happen. I can't remember the name of that speaker but that story amazed me. Coincidence just doesn't really seem to cut it for things like that :) I can't wait for Novemeber when the talks will be printed!

Teaching is going well. There are so many ways I can improve still. I want to be better. I love to see the enthusiasm these kids have for learning. Most of them are just so excited to learn and try new things. It's a great example for me.

My host sister Yulia turned 7! Her birthday was Saturday and we had a fun party for her. We ate some really yummy food, opened presents, played party games like pin the tail on the donkey (we did pin the tongue on the frog :) and musical chairs, and ate a delicious cherry cake. It was a lot of fun! Yulia is adorable and so sweet. She deserved an awesome day and I'm glad she was very happy.

We also went to the forest on Saturday evening with our host family. Beautiful. That's all I can say to describe it. It reminded me why fall is my favorite season. I wish it was longer! I don't like winter so much :)

Life is good here. I hope everyone else can say the same, wherever you are!
